**Premium Price for a Color Swap**
Let me be upfront: this is the same card as the black GAMING TRIO OC with a white shroud and backplate. Same clock speeds, same cooler design, same performance. The white tax is about $50-80 depending on where you buy. If you’re building a white-themed PC, that premium is worth it for the aesthetics. If you just want performance, get the black version and save the money. The card itself is excellent — no issues with temps, noise, or performance. 10,752 CUDA cores and 16GB GDDR7 handle anything at 4K. Three stars because the value proposition is weaker than the standard version.

**Outperforms the FE at Lower Temps**
Upgraded from the RTX 5080 Founders Edition to this GAMING TRIO OC WHITE. The factory OC gives about 3-5% better performance, but the real win is thermals: 8-10C cooler under identical loads thanks to the massive triple-fan heatsink. Fan curve is more aggressive but somehow quieter — better fan blade design I assume. The white aesthetic was the main reason for the switch and it doesn’t disappoint. Backplate quality is excellent. Zero coil whine on my unit. DLSS 4 frame generation makes even the most demanding ray-traced titles perfectly playable at 4K.

**Stunning Card, But It’s Massive**
Performance and aesthetics are top-notch — no complaints there. The white finish is clean and matches my Corsair 5000D iCUE white perfectly. But this card is HUGE. Triple-slot, over 330mm long. It barely fit with my front radiator and I had to remove a drive cage. Check your case clearance before buying. Also the 360W TDP means I needed a new 1000W PSU. Once installed though, it’s flawless — 4K gaming at Ultra settings across the board, thermals in the mid-60s, and the Mystic Light sync with my other MSI components looks incredible. Four stars only for the size constraint.

Ran Time Spy and scored over 32K GPU. Real-world: Hogwarts Legacy at 4K Ultra averages 95 fps, Alan Wake 2 with full ray tracing at native 4K hovers around 70 fps. The triple-fan cooler is impressively quiet — I can’t hear it over my case fans even during benchmarks. Peak temp was 65C in a well-ventilated case. The 360W TDP is real though; make sure your PSU can handle it with that single 16-pin connector. GDDR7 at 30 Gbps on a 256-bit bus keeps textures flowing at 4K without stutters. Highly recommended for anyone building a premium white rig.

The MSI GAMING TRIO OC WHITE is gorgeous in my all-white Lian Li O11 build — the triple-fan shroud, white backplate, and subtle Mystic Light RGB accents tie everything together. Performance is exactly where you’d expect an RTX 5080 to land: 4K Ultra in Cyberpunk 2077 with path tracing sits around 80-90 fps with DLSS. The TRI FROZR 3S cooler keeps temps in the low 60s under load with fans barely audible. Three DisplayPort 2.1a and HDMI 2.1b cover every monitor scenario. Worth the premium over the black variant for a white-themed build.
